Nwabichie, Fnis, Jp<br \/>\nChairman &#8211; Surveyors Council of Nigeria<\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Annual GIS Conference 2010, Abuja<\/h3>\n<p>The Surveyors General of Nigeria (SURCON) in collaboration with Sivan Design and the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGOF) are pleased to inform that the Annual Geographic Information System Conference 2010 was a major success.<\/p>\n<p>The conference took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Abuja between the 14th and 15th of June and was attended by over 200 ministers, commissioners, and surveyors from different states of the federation.<\/p>\n<p>Sivan Design wan honored to have Dr. Sagi Filin, world acknowledged LiDAR expert from the Israeli institute of Technology (Technion), as a special guest to share his knowhow and expertise on how Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) is used in Geology to produce accurate high-resolution digital elevation maps. The facility, which its establishment was carried out in whole by Sivan Design, is fully computerized and includes the latest large format printing and cutting machinery. The facility is capable of printing Federal maps issued using FEGIS (Federal Geographic Information System) in a fully automated large format, full color, and high quantities process. FEGIS, an extensive maps production and management system designed by Sivan Design specifically to meet Federation needs, was launched in May and the accomplishment of this modern facility has been only recently achieved.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>After Conference Party Time<\/h1>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1763 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/sivandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/abuja-1.jpg\" alt=\"abuja-1\" width=\"294\" height=\"193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sivandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/abuja-1.jpg 294w, https:\/\/sivandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/abuja-1-150x98.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 294px) 100vw, 294px\" \/><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">Live band and singers<\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In between conference days, Sivan Design has arranged a cocktail and barbeque night party.
